No entanto, o Super Bowl vai além da competição esportiva: é o evento televisivo mais visto no ano. Em 2021, só nos Estados Unidos, reuni-o mais de 102 milhões de espectadores.
A NBC, rede que transmitiu o evento neste ano cobrou o valor de U$ 7 milhões dólares (36,4 milhões de reais) por 30 segundos de anúncio.
Anunciantes e marcas tentam brilhar recorrendo a rostos conhecidos, humor ou histórias empolgantes que alcancem um atenção além dos 30 segundos.
No Brasil, o evento foi transmitido pelo ESPN, na TV por assinatura, e pela Rede TV no canal aberto.
